Outdoor Walk-and-Talk Therapy

Outdoor Walk-and-Talk Therapy offers an alternative to sitting across from a therapist in an office. When clinically appropriate, sessions take place outdoors, walking side by side at a comfortable pace, so conversation is naturally paired with movement and fresh air. Many people find it easier to open up while moving, noticing the feel of the ground beneath their feet, the sounds around them, and the rhythm of their breath.

This format can be especially supportive for anxiety, trauma, grief, and stress, or when you feel "stuck" in traditional talk therapy. I keep the same therapeutic focus-using evidence-based approaches, clear boundaries, and attention to safety-while also using the environment as a grounding resource.

For some, walk-and-talk becomes a primary format; for others, it is a periodic option alongside virtual sessions. Together, we decide what feels most supportive for you.
